Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor of Management and Organization at the USC Marshall School of Business. My research focuses on technological innovation in firms, delving into external drivers of innovation such as business regulations and policies, the management of innovation processes including team configuration, and the consequences of innovation like the impact of AI. In this context, I have conducted empirical research on a variety of subjects, including antitrust enforcement, the US visa waiver program, non-compete agreements, short-selling regulations, and a randomized controlled trial on patent renewals.

My overarching research theme is dedicated to uncovering strategies and public policies that stimulate innovation, ultimately enhancing firms’ competitive advantage and performance. Recently, I have been investigating the effects of AI on decision-making, knowledge creation, and organizational performance. For instance, I study how workflows within hospitals evolve following the integration of an AI-powered X-ray triage system in emergency rooms.
